William H. Morgan

Mr. Morgan is responsible for Financial Automation, the Technology Division of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX).  As Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Mr. Morgan’s responsibilities include directing the management of Development, Technical Services, Data Center Operations, Production Support, Quality Assurance, and Trading Floor Operations Departments supporting the PHLX’s five (5) businesses, Equity Trading, Equity Options Trading, Foreign Currency Options Trading, Futures and Clearing Services, formerly The Stock Clearing Corporation of Philadelphia, as well as overall technology strategies and planning for these areas.  Mr. Morgan is also responsible for strategic business ventures involving technology. In February 2004, Mr. Morgan was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Tech Source (ATS), a subsidiary of the PHLX that provides technology hosting services.

Mr. Morgan has been a member of the PHLX’s Technology Management Staff since 1982, serving in various technical and managerial capacities including Project Manager, Group Manager, Assistant Vice President and Vice President.

Mr. Morgan has been a finalist for the Computerworld Smithsonian Award, and he was recently presented with the Sun Microsystems Stellar Performance Award and the LaSalle University Information Technology Leadership Award.  His work has been featured in articles published in Computer World, Information Week, LAN Magazine, Securities Industry News and Wall Street Technology Magazine.  Mr. Morgan is on the LaSalle University Information Management Advisory Board. He serves on the Villanova University CIO Advisory Council and the Society for Information Management (SIM) Board of Directors.  Mr. Morgan has served on the Securities Industry Association (SIA) Year 2000 Steering Committee and Decimal Pricing Steering Committee.  Mr. Morgan is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute, sponsored by the SIA at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Maxima Cum Laude Graduate of Peirce College in Philadelphia with a degree in computer science.
